Höegh Evi, a global leader in marine energy infrastructure solutions, has partnered with the port of Port-La Nouvelle in France to develop a floating terminal for importing hydrogen from producers in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Americas. This collaboration aims to facilitate the shift to clean energy in Europe by establishing a key hub for importing large volumes of hydrogen. The partnership involves connecting Port-La Nouvelle to major hydrogen transport infrastructures, enhancing the energy attractiveness of the Occitanie region and promoting job growth. The agreement focuses on importing up to 210,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually by 2030, subject to the readiness of France's hydrogen pipeline infrastructure.
