Hydrexia has entered into a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with ICE SEDCE Hydrogen to establish a joint venture with ISHSB, a Malaysian company formed by ICE Petroleum and SEDC Energy, to develop hydrogen refuelling stations (HRS) and storage solutions for the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project in Malaysia. The collaboration aims to enhance the infrastructure for hydrogen-powered vehicles and support the transition towards sustainable transportation. The CEO of Hydrexia Southeast Asia, George Gan, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting the opportunity to cater to the needs of the local market efficiently. The joint venture is expected to address the demand for HRS and hydrogen storage in Malaysia, as stated by Abdul Jalil Maraicar, the Group Managing Director of ICE Petroleum. This collaboration follows Hydrexia's provision of containerised mobile HRS to UMW Toyota, showcasing the company's commitment to advancing hydrogen technology in the transportation sector. The joint venture signals a positive development in Malaysia's efforts towards sustainable mobility and signifies a strategic move towards adopting clean energy solutions for a greener future.
