Hydrogen Oman (Hydrom) and thyssenkrupp nucera have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate in boosting Oman's green hydrogen sector. The agreement aims to explore opportunities for localizing assembly and service hubs for water electrolyser production, with a focus on developing a competitive and sustainable green hydrogen ecosystem in Oman. The MoU was signed in Muscat in the presence of Oman's Minister of Energy and Minerals. Thyssenkrupp nucera, with its expertise in electrolysis technology, intends to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and contribute to the establishment of a successful green hydrogen sector in Oman. Hydrom, as the national orchestrator of Oman's green hydrogen strategy, sees green hydrogen as a key element in the country's clean economy, supporting sustainability and decarbonization. The collaboration between Hydrom and thyssenkrupp nucera is a significant step towards achieving Oman's ambition of becoming a leading global green hydrogen hub. Thyssenkrupp nucera, known for its world-leading technologies in electrolysis plants, brings extensive knowledge in the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrochemical plants, further enhancing the partnership's potential for success in fostering green hydrogen in Oman.
