German gas technology company Flusys has been announced as the first customer for Hyting's catalytic hydrogen heating system. The 10kW heating system, tailored for industrial and commercial use, is set to be installed in early 2025 at Flusys' new production facility for precision pumps in Offenbach, Germany. The heating system will utilize hydrogen sourced from a nearby supplier to heat the 1,000m3 production space. Hyting, a German hydrogen heating startup, aims to decarbonize the heating sector by offering a safe, efficient, and clean way to generate heat from hydrogen without combustion. The technology operates via a molecular exothermic catalytic process that converts hydrogen and oxygen from the air into heat, producing only water as a by-product and emitting no CO2, NOx, or particulates. It is designed to be modular and scalable, ranging from 10-300kW, catering to various heating needs in commercial and industrial settings, as well as residential buildings and commercial vehicles. Carsten Neutzer, the CEO of Flusys, expressed the company's enthusiasm for the new CO2-free technology and its potential to revolutionize the heating industry.
