Dubai Silicon Oasis, in collaboration with MIT and Global Growth Hub, has announced the selection of ten startups for the MIT DesignX Dubai Accelerator's second cohort, commencing in September 2023. The program offers a curriculum crafted by MIT, including workshops and intensive courses on design and business, conducted at the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus until May 2025. Startups will benefit from mentorship by industry experts, MIT alumni, and MIT student interns to refine their business models. The program will conclude with a Demo Day on January 30, celebrating the startups' achievements with the awarding of the cohort winner. The Director-General of DSO emphasized the success of the program, attracting global interest and fostering a supportive ecosystem for technology and sustainability entrepreneurs. The collaboration with MIT faculty provides a conducive environment for venture growth and leadership development. The selected startups focus on ESG principles and sustainability, covering sectors like hydrogen technology, waste management, emissions reduction, and energy storage. This diversity aligns with global priorities and the UAE's vision for a sustainable future, showcasing innovative solutions to address global challenges.
