The Oman Business Forum, organized by the Business Year media group in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, & Investment Promotion, took place in Muscat on May 20, 2024. The event aimed to discuss future developments in energies and industries, emphasizing renewable energy and sustainability. Minister Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef highlighted Oman's goal to become a major green hydrogen producer, targeting one million tons annually by 2030. The forum also discussed initiatives to attract investments and promote foreign investment rates through the Invest Oman platform, led by Engineer Ammar bin Sulaiman Al Kharousi. Two working sessions delved into technology-based businesses in Oman, digital transformation, and sustainability initiatives. The collaboration with 'The Business Year' institution will support the publication of 'Oman 2024,' focusing on the country's vision for 2040. This partnership aims to showcase Oman's potential as an investment destination and highlight the available opportunities to local and international investors, aligning with Oman's efforts to enhance its global presence in the business landscape.
