The UAE and the European Union (EU) have embarked on negotiations for a free trade agreement to strengthen their bilateral relations. The talks aim to establish a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with a focus on advanced manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, renewable energy, green hydrogen, and critical raw materials. This agreement intends to reduce tariffs, eliminate trade barriers, and enhance market access for goods and services across various sectors. The EU is a significant trading partner for the UAE, representing 8.3% of its non-oil trade, while the UAE is the EU's largest export destination and primary investment partner in the MENA region.
