Air Products has finalized the sale of its LNG process technology and equipment business to Honeywell for $1.81bn, part of a strategic divestiture to concentrate on its core industrial gases business and clean hydrogen production. The acquisition includes assets, manufacturing capabilities, and around 475 employees, along with the coil-would heat exchanger manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, Florida. Air Products' CEO expressed gratitude to the former LNG colleagues and reiterated the company's commitment to shareholder value through growth in industrial gases and clean hydrogen. Post-transaction, Honeywell now offers a comprehensive solution for natural gas pre-treatment, liquefaction, and digital automation technologies, including Air Products' coil-wound heat exchangers. Honeywell aims to enhance energy transition management for LNG assets with scalable solutions.
