Honda is gearing up to introduce its next-generation fuel cell module at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in North America, scheduled for April 28. This innovative module, set to commence production in 2027, is poised to revolutionize clean transportation by cutting production costs in half, enhancing durability, and tripling volumetric power density compared to the existing Honda Fuel Cell module. David Perzynski from American Honda Motor Co. expressed enthusiasm for Honda's hydrogen technology, emphasizing its potential to power a range of zero-emissions products like commercial trucks and stationary power stations. The new fuel cell module will find initial applications in fuel cell electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, stationary power stations, and construction machinery, showcasing Honda's commitment to sustainable transportation solutions. At the expo, Honda will also showcase its Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell truck concept, powered by three Honda FC Modules, and present a mock-up of the Fuel Cell Power Generator designed for supplying clean electricity to large facilities. With these advancements, Honda is taking significant strides towards promoting hydrogen as a viable and eco-friendly alternative in the transportation and power generation sectors.
