Hyundai Motor Group Manufacturing Alabama (HMGMA) is taking a significant step towards reducing its carbon footprint and embracing sustainability by introducing a hydrogen-powered logistics initiative. The company will be using Xcient hydrogen fuel-cell Class 8 tractors to transport vehicle parts from suppliers to its mega-site daily. This move will not only enhance environmental sustainability but also showcase a closed-loop hydrogen logistics ecosystem. The deployment of 21 Xcient vehicles will make up a substantial portion of Glovis America's truck fleet at HMGMA. Additionally, Hyundai's unveiling of the HTWO brand at CES signifies a comprehensive approach to the hydrogen value chain, covering production, storage, transportation, and utilization. The joint venture, HTWO Logistics, plans to enhance efficiency by setting up a mobile hydrogen refueling station at the mega-site.
