The Hyundai N Vision 74 (N74) hydrogen supercar, previously a concept, is now reportedly set for production, as per reports from South Korean business newspaper The Korea Economic Daily. The N74 is slated for a 2026 release, four years after its concept debut, featuring a rear-wheel-drive layout and design inspiration from Hyundai's 1974 Pony Coupe. While the concept had 671 horsepower, the production model is expected to boast 765 horsepower, with a top speed of 62 mph in three seconds. Hyundai aims for the N74 to challenge the Nurburgring record and plans to limit production to 200 units from 2026 to 2028. The car, priced at $366,000, not only aims for performance but also to showcase hydrogen technology's potential. Hyundai's focus is on proving hydrogen as an exciting technology, following the success of its battery-powered EVs like the Ioniq 5 N. The N74 is seen as an alternative to traditional supercars, not just due to its powertrain but also its exceptional design. Prototype testing is expected to commence in August, with the N74 positioned as a unique player in the supercar segment.
