The Extreme E racing series has introduced the Pioneer 25, a groundbreaking hydrogen race car that marks the shift towards Extreme H, the world's first hydrogen racing series. Developed by Spark Racing Technology and equipped with a 75kW hydrogen fuel cell from Symbio, the Pioneer 25 is set to revolutionize motorsport by producing only water as a byproduct, ensuring zero carbon emissions. This new car has undergone extensive testing to match three racing seasons' worth of performance standards and is designed to deliver impressive results. With a peak 400kW (550hp) output, the Pioneer 25 can accelerate the 2200-kilogram race car from 0-100kph in just 4.5 seconds and tackle gradients of up to 130 percent. The Extreme H series will kick off in Saudi Arabia, maintaining the tradition established by the Extreme E calendar, before moving on to the European leg starting in the UK.
