New Flyer of America Inc., a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., secured a significant order for 108 zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell-electric buses from SamTrans in San Mateo County, California. This order marks the largest single fuel cell bus order in New Flyer's history. The buses will replace diesel ones, aiding SamTrans' transition to a zero-emission fleet as mandated by CARB's ICT regulation. Funding from FTA, HVIP vouchers, and local sources facilitates this transition. The purchase also contributes to achieving U.S. greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.
