Lhyfe, a global leader in green and renewable hydrogen production, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Fives, a well-known industrial combustion specialist, to advance decarbonization solutions for industries. The shift towards hydrogen combustion is crucial for reducing carbon footprints in industrial sectors, with a secondary aluminium furnace, for example, potentially cutting over 4,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually by transitioning from natural gas to hydrogen. Industries targeted for this innovative solution include metals, glass, cement, and selected heating processes in Europe and North America.
