Hydrogen and energy transition private equity firm SENCO has invested €20m in Strohm, a Dutch company specializing in pipelines for conventional and renewable sectors. This investment aims to help Strohm accelerate its growth in the hydrogen and CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) business. Carsten Schmeding, CEO of SENCO, expressed confidence in Strohm's leadership and highlighted the importance of supporting the company's future expansion. Oliver Kolbe, Managing Partner of SENCO, emphasized the significant growth potential of companies contributing to the energy transition, making them attractive investment prospects. Strohm's CEO, Martin van Onna, welcomed the partnership with SENCO, stating that it will facilitate the scaling of technologies, especially in the hydrogen and CCUS domains. Strohm's successful hydrogen testing program on its TCP demonstrated the pipeline's suitability for hydrogen transport by maintaining low permeation levels and reducing carbon intensity. This development aligns with the global shift towards sustainable energy sources.
