Chart Industries, a US cryogenic manufacturer, is set to supply hydrogen compression solutions for Repsol's expansion of the Sines industrial complex in Portugal. The two diaphragm compressors will ensure reliable and contamination-free high-pressure hydrogen delivery for the process. This supports Repsol's goal of achieving 100% recyclable, high-value materials using solar-powered green electrolytic hydrogen to align with its Net Zero commitments. The Alba project in Sines is expected to be Portugal's largest industrial investment in the past decade once operational in 2025.
