Hazer Group, based in Australia, has achieved a significant milestone by running its methane pyrolysis hydrogen and graphite production technology for over 240 hours continuously in Perth. This operation, surpassing the initial targets, demonstrates operational reliability. The company is now concentrating on perfecting its process to produce commercially representative graphite and undergo quality checks. Glenn Corie, the CEO of Hazer, praised the hard work of the team in achieving this milestone. This success has also unlocked further funding under the Australian Renewable Energy Agency agreement. Hazer's innovative process utilizes natural gas and unprocessed iron to create hydrogen and graphite products. Furthermore, the company is exploring opportunities internationally, as evidenced by the agreement with ForisBC Energy to potentially develop a methane pyrolysis facility in British Columbia, Canada. This venture aims to produce substantial amounts of hydrogen and graphite annually.
