The company plans to leverage renewable electricity from local solar and wind farms to produce an estimated 150,000 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel annually. The seamless power supply will be facilitated through a dedicated transmission line connecting these facilities. Hugh Kelly, CEO of Simply Blue Group, expressed enthusiasm for developing the Goldboro site into a renewable energy park, highlighting the role of sustainable aviation fuel in reducing reliance on fossil fuels and addressing climate change.
