Hyundai has unveiled the second generation of its Nexo fuel-cell SUV, reinforcing its commitment to hydrogen-powered vehicles. The new Nexo takes inspiration from the Initium concept car and features a unique design language called 'Art of Steel,' setting it apart from other models in Hyundai's lineup. The SUV sports distinctive grid-shaped 'H-two' lights, H-shaped surfaces on bumpers, and a matte silver finish. Internally, the Nexo 2.0 offers more passenger room and a 'connected cockpit' dashboard with two 12.3-inch displays. The powertrain has been upgraded, boasting a 16% increase in electrical output from its fuel cell stack and a doubled battery output for a more powerful electric motor. This enhancement has reduced the acceleration time to 7.8 seconds from 9.2 seconds for 0-100km/h. Additionally, the hydrogen tank capacity has been increased, allowing the Nexo to achieve a range of over 700km per fill-up. The car also features vehicle-to-load (V2L) capacity, enabling it to act as a hydrogen-powered generator and connect with external devices.
