Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to discuss various key issues. The meeting covered topics such as electric mobility, metro development, waste management, and renewable energy projects like the PM KUSUM scheme. Chandrababu Naidu expressed the desire for Andhra Pradesh to become a leading state in green hydrogen initiatives, seeking support in this regard. Additionally, discussions included housing concerns, progress under the AMRUT scheme aimed at urban transformation, and efforts to enhance urban infrastructure development. The AMRUT mission launched in 2015 targets infrastructure development in water supply, sewerage management, stormwater drainage, green spaces, and non-motorised urban transport in select cities and towns. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved State Annual Action Plans totaling Rs 77,640 crore for the entire mission period, showcasing a significant investment in urban development.
