In Dubai, the 86th meeting of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, chaired by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and attended by prominent figures like HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, discussed various initiatives to promote clean fuel and sustainable infrastructure development. The Council evaluated the potential of carbon capture technologies like green hydrogen and green ammonia to bolster industrial operations in Dubai, in line with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and Dubai Carbon Abatement Strategy 2030. Additionally, discussions were held on enhancing district cooling services' efficiency and retrofitting government buildings to improve resource efficiency. The Council's focus on sustainable development and the green economy aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to ensure high-quality infrastructure and a superior quality of life for Dubai's residents. Al Tayer emphasized the Council's commitment to implementing strategies and policies that support Dubai's strategic direction.
