In a milestone move towards advancing the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy 2030, ENOC Group and Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have formed a trial agreement to explore green hydrogen-powered mobility solutions. This collaboration includes supplying green hydrogen fuel to RTA's city buses, with ENOC offering technical support and data on refueling. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at ENOC Group Headquarters aims to support a comprehensive feasibility study for the use of green hydrogen, aligning with safety and operational standards. Both parties expressed commitment to a sustainable future, highlighting green hydrogen as a key element for the UAE's hydrogen economy. Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA's Public Transport Agency, praised the partnership for promoting green hydrogen in transportation, including buses and marine transport, in line with UAE's green economy goals. Green hydrogen, produced through electrolysis using renewable energy, is highlighted for its zero CO2 emissions, contributing to reducing greenhouse gases and diversifying energy sources. Notably, ENOC Group collaborates with DEWA to source green hydrogen from Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, showcasing a joint effort towards sustainable energy solutions for public transport.
