Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi announced the launch of the eighth edition of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGYPES 2025). Scheduled on February 17-19, under the theme 'Building a Secure and Sustainable Energy Future,' the event will be inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The conference aims to strengthen regional cooperation, with expected agreements in the natural gas sector and a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy. Minister Badawi emphasized Egypt's pivotal role as a regional energy hub, facilitating cooperation with Cyprus and promoting economic benefits and investments from global energy companies. The event will also address enhancing oil and gas production, investing in renewable energy and hydrogen projects, and boosting Egypt's position in clean and renewable energy. Egypt's strategy includes promoting E&P activities, green hydrogen, and ammonia production to become a major player globally. The conference will host key officials, industry leaders, and experts, showcasing innovations from over 500 exhibitors, including countries like China, Romania, and the US. Organizers highlight EGYPES 2025 as a vital platform for global energy dialogue and industry advancement, offering networking opportunities and investment insights for the future of the energy sector.
