Chinese green tech company Envision Energy is set to develop a 'green hydrogen net zero industrial park' in Spain. This initiative, a first of its kind in Europe, is a result of a partnership with Spain's government and involves an initial investment of $1 billion. The industrial park is designed to serve various functions related to green hydrogen such as design, research, manufacture, and service, with a focus on accelerating Spain's green hydrogen adoption plans. Envision also plans to establish a Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence to enhance local skills and talent, drive innovations, and attract industrial collaborations. The facility, which will produce electrolysers and other equipment for green hydrogen and ammonia production, is expected to commence construction in the first half of 2026, leading to the creation of 1,000 new green jobs. Envision Energy sees Spain as a key player in green hydrogen and aims to contribute to the country's green energy future through this project.
