With a target of producing 30 lakh metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually, Gujarat is positioning itself as a key player in the renewable energy sector. Governor Devvrat also highlighted the state's progress in solar and wind energy generation, citing the commissioning of solar power plants with a total capacity of 16,796 MW and wind farms generating 627.26 MW as of December 2024. Additionally, the establishment of an AI Center of Excellence at GIFT City underscores Gujarat's commitment to innovation and technology. The upcoming state budget presentation by Finance Minister Kanu Desai indicates continued support for renewable energy initiatives, signaling a positive outlook for green hydrogen production and sustainable development in Gujarat.
