Hero Future Energies Private Limited (HFEPL) has signed an agreement with the Karnataka government to invest ₹11,000 crore in renewable energy and green hydrogen projects. This partnership is set to create around 3,000 jobs in the state, further solidifying Karnataka's position as a leader in sustainable energy solutions. HFEPL, a part of the renowned Hero Group founded by Rahul Munjal, plans to kickstart projects in Karnataka over two to three years, starting from 2025-26. Notably, international investors such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) are backing HFEPL in this ambitious endeavor. The state Minister, M B Patil, highlighted that the government will provide the necessary support, including permissions, approvals, and incentives, to ensure the smooth implementation of these projects as per the existing policies and regulations. This collaboration is seen as a significant step towards promoting sustainable industrial development and green energy solutions in Karnataka, strengthening its reputation as a preferred destination for investments. With a focus on renewable energy and green hydrogen initiatives, the partnership between HFEPL and Karnataka aims to propel the state towards a greener and more sustainable future.
