The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh virtually laid the foundation stone of the state's first green hydrogen mobility station in Chamba town, a project to be implemented by NHPC with an outlay of Rs 14 crore. This initiative, expected to be completed by August next year, will house a 300-kilowatt grid-connected solar power plant to produce green hydrogen for a hydrogen bus. The project aims to introduce green hydrogen buses to the region, increase awareness about green hydrogen, and pave the way for economic development and job creation in Himachal Pradesh. The government's vision to transform the state into a 'Green Energy State' by 2026 aligns with promoting green industry and harnessing renewable energy sources.
