Green energy expert Alhassan Dantata emphasized the importance of green hydrogen as the world's last chance for transitioning to clean energy. He highlighted Africa's significant renewable energy sources like wind, sun, and water, positioning the continent for leadership in green hydrogen production. Dantata envisioned Africa becoming a key energy exporter, supplying power to Europe via submarine cables. However, he stressed that overcoming tribalism and religious divisions in Africa is essential, requiring political will and collaboration. Nigeria's Ministry of Power reiterated commitment to developing green hydrogen, recognizing its potential for economic growth, energy security, emission reduction, and innovation. The workshop in Lagos underlined green hydrogen's role in reducing carbon emissions and diversifying energy sources, emphasizing its importance in the global shift towards clean energy.
