The HP Green R&D Centre (HPGRDC) of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has entered a partnership with Engineers India Ltd. (EIL) to commercialize its indigenously developed Hydrogen Pressure Swing Adsorption (HP-PSA) Technology. HPCL will serve as the 'Technology Licensor,' while EIL will be the exclusive 'Technology & Engineering Partner' for engineering, marketing, and commercialization in India. The HP-PSA Technology, developed by HPGRDC, has proven its capabilities through a 6-bed H2 PSA unit at Visakh Refinery, operating successfully for over nine years. HPCL stated that this milestone positions them as India's first and the world's third Hydrogen PSA Technology Licensor. Vipul Kumar Maheshwari, Executive Director-R&D at HPCL, expressed that the collaboration will contribute significantly to India's technological self-reliance and strengthen the commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
