Shell Oman has inaugurated the first hydrogen station in Oman at Muscat International Airport in a partnership with Mwasalat and Nama Power and Water Procurement Company. This initiative aligns with Oman's vision of becoming a leader in green energy, with a commitment to achieving national carbon neutrality by 2050. The project aims to promote investments in renewable solar energy, local hydrogen production, and advanced mobility technologies. Additionally, Mwasalat plans to introduce hydrogen-powered vehicles to its fleet, expanding green transport options in Oman. In the UAE, Dubai's RTA has partnered with ENOC Group to trial green hydrogen mobility solutions for city buses, supporting Dubai's Green Mobility Strategy 2030. This collaboration demonstrates a regional drive towards decarbonization and sustainable mobility, highlighting the importance of hydrogen in the transition to cleaner energy sources and the development of a hydrogen economy in the Middle East.
