Australia-based Hysata, a manufacturer specializing in high-efficiency electrolyzers for green hydrogen production, has entered into agreements with South Korean steelmaker POSCO and its subsidiary, POSCO Eco & Challenge (POSCO E&C). The first agreement between Hysata and POSCO focuses on collaborating to develop electrolyzer materials and systems, leveraging their combined technical knowledge and expertise. This partnership also aims to expedite the commercialization of Hysata's next-gen electrolyzer technology, which is expected to play a crucial role in reducing the cost of hydrogen production. Concurrently, Hysata and POSCO E&C will be working together on the construction of electrolyzers to support the green hydrogen industry and other relevant sectors. The overarching goal of this collaboration is to drive the adoption of green hydrogen and facilitate the decarbonization of challenging industries, such as steelmaking, by enhancing the utilization of this sustainable energy source.
