The innovative vehicle, based on the Hyundai Universe fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), serves as a mobile refuge for firefighters on Jeju Island, equipped with amenities tailored to enhance their recovery experience. The donation was accompanied by a touching campaign video titled 'Got Your Back -Hydrogen Fuel Cell Support Bus for Firefighters’ Recovery in the Line of Duty,' narrated by Korean-American firefighter Peter Lee, emphasizing the vehicle's role in improving working conditions and firefighter wellness. In addition to providing a comfortable rest space, the Support Bus emits pure water through its hydrogen fuel cells, ensuring a serene and eco-friendly environment for firefighters. The Support Bus features various elements like a communal meeting space, premium reclining seats, a compact cooking area, and cleaning equipment to aid in firefighters' recuperation. Powered by green hydrogen from the Green Hydrogen Production Complex in Jeju Island, the vehicle embodies Hyundai's commitment to a hydrogen-based ecosystem and the development of a hydrogen society.
