India and Singapore are intensifying efforts to establish a green energy corridor, with a focus on areas like green hydrogen, manufacturing, and semiconductors. The ongoing visit of Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to India highlighted discussions on enhancing bilateral ties, including plans for a green hydrogen corridor between eastern India and Singapore. Further collaboration involves setting up a data corridor between GIFT City in Gujarat and Singapore. The partnership aims to explore MoUs in various sectors such as green shipping, industrial parks, petrochemical complexes, and semiconductor manufacturing. Additionally, cooperation in aerospace maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) is gaining traction, with India eyeing the potential to become an MRO hub. The discussions also encompassed the current situation in Myanmar, emphasizing the need for cooperation with ASEAN countries. With Myanmar being a key neighbor to India and ASEAN, dialogues included concerns about the ongoing unrest and border security issues.
