The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) in India has issued the Scheme Guidelines for funding testing facilities, infrastructure, and institutional support under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The scheme aims to identify gaps in existing testing facilities for Green Hydrogen and its derivatives, supporting the creation of new facilities and upgrading existing ones to ensure safe operations. With a total budgetary outlay of Rs. 200 Crores till 2025-26, the mission will be implemented by the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE). This initiative is part of India's larger goal to achieve self-reliance in clean energy and lead the global Clean Energy Transition. By focusing on quality, sustainability, and safety in Green Hydrogen production, the mission aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuel imports and establish India as a leader in Green Hydrogen technology and market.
