In a significant development, India's Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Naik, has expressed the country's commitment to advancing the 'Hydrogen Agenda'. Speaking at the International Conference on Green Hydrogen in New Delhi, Naik stressed the government's dedication to clean and green energy initiatives. The National Green Hydrogen Mission, with an initial budget of Rs 19,744 crore, aims to address various aspects like demand creation, production, R&D, and skill development. Notably, the focus is on empowering youth to shape a sustainable future. Professor Ajay K Sood, the Principal Scientific Adviser, highlighted the importance of Green Hydrogen in redefining energy systems and creating new job opportunities for a cleaner planet. Bhupinder S Bhalla, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, emphasized the transformative potential of Green Hydrogen in India's energy sector.
