Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to lay the foundation stone for India’s largest NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, near Visakhapatnam. The project is part of India’s ambitious Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to produce 5 million metric tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030, establishing India as a global leader in the green hydrogen economy. With an investment of ₹1,85,000 crore, the Green Hydrogen Hub will cover 1,600 acres and produce 1,500 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, along with green ammonia, methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel, positioning India as a major exporter of green products. The hub's infrastructure includes an 80 million litres per day desalination plant, a cutting-edge GIS substation, and efficient port logistics, all designed to ensure sustainable and seamless operations.
