Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Visakhapatnam to initiate the construction of the India's largest NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) Green Hydrogen Hub project in Pudimadaka, Anakapalle district. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced this groundbreaking project during the ongoing Assembly sessions. India's Green Hydrogen Mission, launched in 2021, aims to produce five million metric tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030, establishing India as a key player in the global green hydrogen sector. The NGEL's Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka, sprawling across 1,600 acres, will elevate Andhra Pradesh as a prominent green energy hub, boosting India's standing in green hydrogen production. With an impressive investment of Rs1,85,000 crore, this hub will be a major player in the world, generating 1,500 tonnes of green hydrogen, 4,500 tonnes of green ammonia, 1,500 tonnes of green methanol, and 1,500 tonnes of SAF/Green Urea daily. This initiative signifies a significant step towards a sustainable and eco-friendly future for India's energy landscape.
