Lhyfe, a leading green and renewable hydrogen producer, has been awarded a significant €149 million grant for its upcoming green hydrogen production plant near Le Havre, as part of the Green Horizon project. This project, selected by the European Commission, aims to reach a capacity of up to 34 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, contributing to the decarbonization of one of Europe's largest industrial port areas in Normandy. The public support contract signed with Bpifrance outlines a phased funding scheme, with an initial payment of €18 million scheduled by June 2025. By securing this grant, Lhyfe will pass the 100 MW milestone in installed electrolysis capacity.
