Lhyfe, a leading player in green and renewable hydrogen production, has received a significant boost with the confirmation of a €149 million grant from the French government for its upcoming green hydrogen production facility located near the Grand Canal of Le Havre, France. This grant, officially confirmed by the French Prime Minister, supports Lhyfe's ambitious project under the Green Horizon initiative. The facility, with a planned capacity of up to 34 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, aims to cater to the decarbonisation needs of industries and transportation in the region, particularly near the industrial port areas. The project, selected by the European Commission as part of Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI), is a key step towards demonstrating the feasibility and economic viability of large-scale green hydrogen production through water electrolysis. By aligning with national and European hydrogen and decarbonisation strategies, Lhyfe's project plays a crucial role in meeting emission reduction targets and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
