Maharashtra is on course to revolutionize its energy landscape with the aid of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which is set to invest USD 1 billion in supporting the state's green energy ambitions. The investment will facilitate the establishment of crucial infrastructure, including hydrogen pipelines and hydrolysis plants, to propel Maharashtra's green hydrogen initiative forward. A significant meeting between the Maharashtra government and AIIB discussed the project, emphasizing the importance of addressing infrastructure gaps for green hydrogen production. The state's green hydrogen policy aligns with the production method involving electrolysis powered by renewable sources like wind, solar, or hydropower, ensuring a sustainable and clean energy transition.
