The investment is aimed at aiding the company in developing solutions that promote decarbonisation and enhance renewable hydrogen competitiveness. Matteco plans to utilize the funds to establish a next-generation catalyst and electrode factory in Paterna, Valencia, with the capacity to produce up to 1 GW of electrodes annually. Led by CEO Iker Marcaide, Matteco is focused on meeting the increasing global demand for its advanced catalysts and electrodes, catering to customers across Europe, North America, and Asia. The company also intends to expand its workforce from 30 to 100 employees by 2025 to support production scaling and boost innovation in clean technology.
