Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of two green hydrogen hubs in India, with one to be located in Visakhapatnam, as part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The mission aims to produce 5 million tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030. Modi also emphasized Andhra Pradesh's target of becoming a $2.5 trillion economy by 2047 and highlighted the state's potential in embracing new technologies. During his visit, Modi inaugurated various projects, including a green hydrogen hub in Anakapalli, a railway zone, an industrial hub in Krishnapatnam, and a bulk drug park in Nakkapalli, which collectively are expected to create significant employment opportunities. The event, attended by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, featured a grand roadshow to mark Modi's visit, showcasing the political alliance between TDP, BJP, and Janasena in Andhra Pradesh. This visit marked Modi's first to the state following his re-election in 2024, symbolizing the collaboration between the state and the central government in driving economic development and futuristic technologies.
