In Oman, stakeholders gathered for a strategic workshop to lay the foundation for a dedicated Green Hydrogen Zone in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD). The 17 sq km zone will cater to investors in the green hydrogen space, aligning with Oman's clean energy strategy and Net-Zero targets. Stakeholders like Hydrom, OETC, and Nama Water Services collaborated on common infrastructure necessary for green hydrogen projects. The zone, expected to host downstream components of eight green hydrogen mega schemes, will support the production of green commodities like ammonia and methanol. SEZAD's commitment to sustainable projects and partnerships with international consortiums like BP and Shell demonstrates its ambition to become a regional green energy hub.
