The Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company (ANRPC) was honored with second place in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects across Alexandria, Matrouh, and Beheira for its hydrogen fuel project. The project's objective is to offer an alternative to natural gas and support Egypt's sustainable development goals as outlined in Vision 2030. During the award ceremony, ANRPC Chairman Sayed El-Rawi received the recognition from various dignitaries including the Governors of Alexandria, Beheira, and Matrouh, as well as officials from the Ministry of Local Development and the United Nations. This achievement underscores the importance of the petroleum sector in boosting the national economy through improved production efficiency, environmental protection, and a reduced carbon footprint. The initiative, initiated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is now in its third year and aims to drive the adoption of environmental care projects and innovative technologies in Egypt.
