Gentari, a clean energy solutions provider, has signed a firm and binding Power Purchase Agreement with AM Green Ammonia India Private Limited to supply 650 MW of round-the-clock, carbon-free energy for powering AMG Ammonia's upcoming green ammonia facilities. The agreement also entails setting up approximately 2400 MWp of renewable energy capacity in India, including solar and wind, along with 350 MW / 2100 MWh of energy storage to ensure firm and dispatchable green power supply. This initiative is significant as it meets the stringent requirements of a green ammonia plant on an hourly basis, demonstrating a pioneering approach to carbon-free energy supply contracts. AMG Ammonia plans to become one of the world's largest green ammonia platforms, targeting 5 million tons per year by 2030, which aligns with India's and Europe's green hydrogen production goals. The collaboration between Gentari and AM Green is poised to accelerate the development of renewable assets in India, contributing to the expansion of the country's renewable energy capacity and fostering sustainable growth in the green electron-to-molecule chain.
