GILLIG, a US bus manufacturer, has entered into a significant partnership with Hexagon Purus, a hydrogen fuel storage system supplier. The agreement entails the supply of hydrogen fuel storage systems for GILLIG's new hydrogen fuel cell transit buses. The storage systems will be provided by Hexagon Purus' facility in Westminster, US. GILLIG's VP of Product Planning and Strategy, Ben Grunat, emphasized the company's dedication to advancing sustainable public transportation technologies through the introduction of hydrogen-powered fuel cell buses. The collaboration with Hexagon Purus aims to enhance GILLIG's commitment to innovation and strategic partnerships within the industry. This partnership further solidifies GILLIG's position in the zero-emission vehicle market, complementing previous agreements with BAE Systems and Ballard Power for electric drive technology and fuel cells.
