GLS Germany has utilized the truck to deliver over 100,000 packages, covering 30,000 kilometers in the greater Cologne area and on long-distance trips between Cologne and Mannheim since late 2023. The Hyundai Xcient Fuel Cell 6x2 truck is equipped with an Allison 4000 Series fully automatic transmission, providing efficient performance for the Europe-wide parcel service. The vehicle is powered by a 180-kilowatt hydrogen fuel cell system with two 90-kilowatt fuel cell units and a 350-kilowatt electric motor, coupled with an Allison fully automatic transmission for accelerated and tractive power without loss.
