Gold H2 has unveiled its Black 2 Gold Technology (B2G), a unique industrial biotech process that converts crude oil into biologically produced Gold Hydrogen®, available for pilot demonstrations. The company has signed a significant MoU in the US with a major oil and gas corporation to initiate a series of pilots over the next year, showcasing their pioneering Gold Hydrogen® production biotechnology. This technology promises to deliver cleaner and more affordable hydrogen (US$0.80/kg) and enable the transformation of uneconomical oil wells into hydrogen-producing assets. Gold H2's solution targets depleted oil reservoirs suitable for water flooding, deploying the Mobile Microbe Manufacturer (M3) to kickstart the hydrogen production process. Each M3 unit can convert numerous oil wells to produce hydrogen, with meticulous risk mitigation strategies in place. The MoU sets the stage for the first waterflood pilot, signaling a pathway to a major commercial project and underlining the company's growing momentum in the energy sector. Through collaboration with the oil and gas industry, Gold H2 aims to revolutionize the production of clean energy while addressing the challenge of what to do with exhausted oil assets.
