The rapid economic growth and increased electricity demand in emerging countries like Bangladesh have led to pressure on the national grid, exacerbated by the rise of electric vehicles. To combat this issue and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the adoption of green hydrogen fuel vehicles (HFVs) powered by renewable energy sources is gaining traction. The production of green hydrogen through electrolysis powered by renewable energy sources has environmental advantages over fossil fuel-derived hydrogen. This shift towards green hydrogen presents a promising solution to address power deficits, reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels, and lower greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. Bangladesh, being an energy-deficient country heavily reliant on fossil fuels, aims to promote green transportation by supporting the adoption of electric vehicles and establishing an EV penetration target of 30% by 2030. Researchers suggest incorporating renewable energy sources in hybrid EV charging stations to mitigate power deficits and reduce emissions. Studies on hybrid energy systems combining PV, wind, and biogas highlight their economic viability, environmental sustainability, and reliability compared to fossil fuel-based systems. Various research findings emphasize the benefits of green hydrogen for a sustainable transportation future in Bangladesh, aligning with the country's climate change mitigation goals.
