In Tokyo, during the Smart Energy Week 2025 - H2 & FC EXPO, Hydrexia Singapore, a global hydrogen technology solution provider, and Yamato H2Energy Japan, a system integrator and project developer of hydrogen in Japan, announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate in serving the Japanese hydrogen market. The MOU outlines plans for joint development of hydrogen storage, transport, and refueling station equipment localized for Japan. Hydrexia will contribute its advanced magnesium-based solid-state and hydrogen refueling station technologies, while YamatoH2E will integrate these technologies as a system integrator and channel partner. The collaboration will also involve YamatoH2E acting as a sales and marketing channel for the developed products. Both parties will focus on localizing certain parts of Hydrexia's technologies to align with Japan's market needs, including engineering design and heating systems. This partnership signifies Hydrexia's initial entry into the Japanese hydrogen market and reflects a positive outlook on bringing advanced hydrogen technology to Japan, as expressed by company representatives. Hydrexia, with its global presence and proven technology solutions, aims to meet the demands of the hydrogen market in Japan through this collaboration with YamatoH2E, a key player in the local hydrogen industry.
